Cognitive Labs Makes Memory Testing More Accessible.

Mountain View, CA.  January 24, 2005 - Already the leading memory test on a global basis, MemCheck is now even more accessible. Visitors to cognitivelabs.com and its test sites including cognitivecare.com and veteransmemorycheck.com can now order MemCheck directly via Fax at (650) 887-2174. “We listen to what our customers want, and as a result, we have made this improvement in our service. Many of our users prefer to take their time when completing a service request, so we have accommodated them by providing new ways that they can order,” said Cognitive Labs CEO Michael Addicott.

Cognitive Labs in recent weeks has experienced record traffic and interest, including recent coverage of MemCheck in Slate, an online national news magazine.

Visitors to Cognitive Labs can take a free memory test and if they wish, subscribe to an economical service, costing just 18 cents per day,  that enables them to track their memory and cognitive performance over time via a secure, protected application.  In university studies, MemCheck was shown to be sensitive to detecting the earliest stages of cognitive impairment. Cognitive Labs is building the world’s largest database of information on cognitive response which will help researchers understand human memory and cognitive performance. Users on any computer can access the service.

“One way you can help yourself, and help everyone else, is by enrolling, explains Dr. Addicott. “The more people who enroll, the more information will be available for research, and the closer we will be to truly understanding memory loss and preventing it. When you decide to become a subscriber, you are helping people both today and tomorrow."

Cognitive Labs recently expanded its advisory board to include Dr. Elan Amir, CEO of Pleasanton-based Bivio Networks. “Elan has been a co-founder of numerous technology companies, including FastForward, which search-provider Inktomi acquired for $1.3 billion, and CTO of OmniSky, so he brings a fantastic background to our effort.”

Dr. Michael Addicott, who serves as chief executive of Cognitive Labs, was instrumental in the development and rollout of UPS Online, a popular service allowing customers around the word to track their shipments and get status updates, enhancing customer service and supply chain effectiveness.
